I am a writer and you can peruse my bibliography here.
I penned my first story at the age of five, a love letter to Dorset named ‘Muddy Fields’. Since then I’ve branched out and found my true calling in fantasy. I draw on folklore and real history for inspiration, and I enjoy writing inclusive stories.
In 2010 I went back to university for some mad reason, and in 2013 I graduated with a first class degree (Hons) in English with Creative Writing from the University of Surrey. Because I’m a sucker for punishment I stayed on for the Creative Writing MA, which I completed with distinction in 2015. Since there’s nowhere else I will ever be able to brag about this, for both BA and MA I won the prize for best overall mark on the course. Ladies, please, one at a time.
During working hours I can be found in an office near Tower Bridge. Outside working hours I can be found at the theatre with Prosecco, or on my sofa with Diet Coke.
My favourite authors are: Kristin Cashore, Robin Hobb, Megan Whalen Turner, and Madeline Miller. I’m also a huge Tolkien geek.
